GENEVA: Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), met on Wednesday with the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom, on the sidelines of the International Conference of Donor Countries in Yemen at the UN headquarters in Geneva.
The two sides discussed the effective partnership between KSRelief and WHO, especially their joint programs in Yemen, Syria and Bangladesh.
Adhanom praised the pioneering role of Saudi Arabia, especially the generous donation at the UN pledging conference on Yemen.
Al-Rabeeah also met with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi in Geneva. They reviewed ways of enhancing cooperation and strategic partnership between KSrelief and the UNHCR, especially joint projects in Syria and Bangladesh to support Syrian refugees in the host countries and the minority Rohingya refugees in neighboring countries.
Grandi praised Saudi Arabia’s generous commitment to Yemen’s humanitarian response plan and its efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the Yemeni people.
